Dr. Richard Lahann is a consultant to the energy industry (since 2003) and is currently a Visiting Scientist at Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana). Richard was employed by ConocoPhillips for 23 years primarily in technology development and application. His consulting specialties are fluid and fracture pressure interpretation from log and seismic data. Richard’s research and academic interests are the relationships between shale properties, both mineralogical and petrophysical and the development/retention of excess fluid pressure. He has a BS. in Geology from Knox College and a Ph. D. in Geology from the University of Illinois.
